Critical Care Unit at Fairview

Our four-bed combination medical/surgical CCU is designed to provide intensive, specialized care for critically ill/injured adult and pediatric patients.  Our Critical Care Unit is staffed by registered nurses who have completed the specialized education and achieved the clinical competency required for this level of care.  Many of our RNs have achieved national certification in progressive and critical care nursing. The unit is fully equipped with cardiac monitoring, mechanical ventilators, & life-support equipment, as well as sophisticated technology which allow the hospitalists and nurses to monitor the hemodynamic status of critically ill patients on a continuous basis.
In addition, the CCU offer highly sophisticated cardiac telemetry service which enables continuous monitoring of cardiac status for an additional four patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit.
