Radiology - Patient Information
Appointments
In most cases, patients are referred to the Radiology Department by their physicians. The location and time of the test depend on the type of exam, the availability of appointments and the patient's convenience. The Radiology Department monitors access to care as an important indicator of patient and physician satisfaction. In most cases, our patients are scheduled for services within 12 hours of their call.

When you arrive for a test, please register in the Radiology waiting area.
Screening Forms
For some of our exams, patients must read and complete forms that ask questions about your medical history and provide more information about the test. We have included these forms on this site for patients to download and complete prior to arriving at the Radiology Department. Patients are also free to obtain and complete the form at the Radiology Department when they arrive for their appointments.

We are dedicated to our patients, and will strive to make you as comfortable as possible. Please feel free to talk with our nurses and technologists if you have any concerns or would like more information about your test.
Advanced Technology
Berkshire Health Systems has invested in the best diagnostic technology available anywhere in our region. Beyond the clarity of the images, radiology tests are generally faster and more comfortable for our patients than they were even a few short years ago. Advanced technology also means our patients are exposed to less radiation.
How to obtain your images
All diagnostic studies belong to the BHS Radiology Department. To obtain a CD of your images, please come to the Radiology Department on the first floor of Berkshire Medical Center. Federal privacy laws mandate that you bring a photo identification with you. If you are getting images for another patient, please bring a photo identification and a letter from the patient authorizing us to provide your images.
