Diabetes Program at BHS

The Berkshire Health Systems Diabetes Education Program is certified by the American Diabetes Association. ADA certification assures that the educational program meets the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Training. Programs that achieve recognition status have a staff of knowledgeable health professionals who provide participants with comprehensive information about diabetes management. ADA certification also means most insurance will cover the program for its services.

Our programs are for anyone 18 years of age or older who has been diagnosed with type 1, type 2, gestational, type 1 diabetes with pregnancy and patients on insulin pump therapy. This includes those who are newly diagnosed, have an older diagnosis, previous education or never received education.
