| Dr. Carlos Valle-Santana Joins NHC |
| November 8, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DR. VALLE-SANTANA JOINS NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH CENTER, PROVIDING PRIMARY CARE SERVICES PITTSFIELD, MA - Berkshire Health Systems announces the appointment of Carlos Valle-Santana, MD, an Internal Medicine practitioner, to the medical staff of the Neighborhood Health Center (NHC), accepting new patients in need of primary care services. Dr. Valle-Santana joins a team of medical practitioners at the NHC that includes Charles Wohl, MD, Mario Flores, MD and Elizabeth Toomajian, NP. Dr. Valle-Santana received his Medical Degree from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas, Universidad de La Habana in Cuba and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Valle-Santana previously served as the Chairman of the Nephrology and Renal Transplant Unit at the Hospital Clinico Quirurgico Docente Saturnino Lora in Santiago, Cuba, a position he held for twenty years. He was also the Chairman of Organ Procurement and Transplant Coordination for the East of Cuba during that time period. Dr. Valle-Santana has lived in the United States since 1999.
