Advocacy for Access at BMC
The goal of Advocacy for Access is to aid the uninsured and underinsured in Southern and Central Berkshire County in accessing various programs that can pay for healthcare services, thereby reducing or eliminating inability to pay as a barrier to receiving healthcare. There are several low-cost health insurance programs for adults and children who live in Massachusetts. In addition, there are some new options under the state's new health reform law. It is easy to apply and our staff can help explain the choices that may be available for you. Our staff's expertise is with people who under 65 years old. For those who are over 65 years old, Advocacy for Access can refer you to the SHINE program at Elder Services, 413-499-0524.
