Cancer Care Physicians

Wade Gebara, MD, chief of the BMC Division of Radiation Oncology, served as chairman of the Cancer Committee during the 2006 survey by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Cancer when the BMC program received a perfect score. Spyridon Triantos, MD has succeeded Dr. Gebara as head of the Cancer Committee, while Michael DiSiena, DO is the Cancer Liaison Physicians responsible for leading many of the hospital's cancer initiatives.

Other key physicians include Radiologist Lisa Loring, MD, medical director of the Women's Imaging Center at BMC who also leads the weekly Breast Conference, and Rebecca Johnson, MD, who coordinates the hospital's Cancer Conferences. Dr. Johnson's position as director of the BHS laboratory also ensures that the hospital meets the highest standards in diagnosing and appropriately staging cancers.
