Neurology at BMC
Neurologists at Berkshire Health Systems have special training in diseases of the nervous system and collaborate with an integrated healthcare system to deliver state-of-the-art care to our patients. All of our physicians in this department see the general neurology patient and provide around-the-clock care for our community. But based on their individual backgrounds and education, the practice is organized around their individual areas of expertise.
Leading the award-winning Stroke Team at Berkshire Medical Center is Alexander Kloman, MD, who supervises the care of all stroke patients. Depending on their needs, Dr. Kloman may engage a team of caregivers for stroke patients that ultimately include speech, occupational and physical therapists; physiatrists, case managers and social workers. Both BMC and Fairview Hospital are designated Primary Stroke Center by the state Department of Public Health.
Ellen Deibert, MD, has fellowship training in neurointensive care and neurorehabilitation. Her subspecialty training in traumatic brain injury has led to the creation of comprehensive programs for concussion and traumatic brain injury that address this compelling community need. In addition, Dr. Deibert provides care for dementia and dual-diagnosis patients.
Herbert Gregg, MD, has is fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Headache care. His clinical interests include treating patients with seizure disorders and epilepsy.
