Primary Duties   The Tumor Registrar establishes and maintains the efficient operation of the Tumor Registry through registration and follow-up of patients with a diagnosis of malignancy. The Tumor Registrar also retrieves and assists the Medical Staff in analyzing data from the Tumor Registry.

Schedule   20 Hr/Day Position
Minimum Qualifications   Formal training in a health profession (i.e. medical record technician or administration), mastery of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology. Certified Tumor Registrar- CTR. If not certified: minimum of two years of experience in a Medical Record Department. Demonstrated ability to collect, manage, display and analyze data. Demonstrated ability to code using ICD (either 9 or O) or a health professional background to prepare for learning to code. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Ability to type 30 wpm required. Typing ability of 50 wpm preferred.
