| Primary Duties | The Psychiatric Clinical Supervisor is a Master's prepared Registered Nurse who is licensed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing who is available for direct care, consultation, supervision of clinical work and medication prescription. In addition, the Psychiatric Clinical Supervisor participates in the hiring, evaluation and discipline process in conjunction with the Administrative Director. The Psychiatric Clinical Supervisor must be able to formulate a plan of treatment for various psychiatric disorders and either implement them or oversee their implementation through consultation and supervision. This includes knowledge and skills in implementing a treatment plan for both inpatient treatment and outpatient psychotherapy and management. This includes current knowledge of psychotropic medications and appropriate licensure to prescribe medications. |

| Minimum Qualifications | MS Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing required. Current MA RN licensure. Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Five years of acute psychiatric experience and medical nursing background preferred. Registration with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe medications. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Demonstrated ability to engage individual and families in a therapeutic relationship. Ability to manage outpatient psychotherapy practice providing services to individuals, couples and families. |
