| Primary Duties | A healthcare professional who provides administrative direction on a 24-hour basis for the delivery of patient care or other patient care support service. The Department Director is responsible for the development of evaluation of his/her service taking into account future trendsand anticipated changes in the industry. The Department Director maintains the operation of a service in a fiscally responsible manner and seeks new opportunities for improvement of services to patients/customers including efficiency programs and cost reduction efforts. The Department Director supports the mission of the hospital and health system. |

| Minimum Qualifications | Baccalaureate degree required. Masters Degree in Nursing or other healthcare field, or in business desirable. Three to five years current management experience in Emergency Services strongly preferred. Three to five years progressive experience in leaderhsip in service or profession. Demonstrated strength in customer service. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated understanding of JCAHO and other regulatory standards. |
