| Primary Duties | A registered healthcare professional who provides administrative direction on a 24 hour basis for the delivery of patient care or other patient care support service. The Director of Ambulatory Surgery is responsible for the development of evaluation of his/her service taking into account future trends and anticipated changes in the industry. The Director of Ambulatory Surgery maintains the operation of a service in a fiscally responsible manner and seeks new opportunities for improvement of services to patients/customers including efficiency programs and cost reduction efforts including the evaluation and implementation of processes to improve patient flow. The Department Director supports the mission of the hospital and health system and is directly accountable to the Service Line Administrator of Surgical Services. |

| Minimum Qualifications | B.S.N. required. Registered Nurse, Massachusetts license, Basic Life Support, knowledge of clinical practices, CNOR, CGRN preferred. Current Surgical Services management experience preferred. Three-five years progressive experience in Surgical Services. Experience working with and directing others in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner. Charge nurse experience required. |
