| Primary Duties | Under general supervision, the Clinical Analyst will be responsible for coordinating the efforts between the Information Systems department and the users of Clincial applications. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the current clinical software in use, and be able to provide guidance and assistance in the proper use of this software. Additional responsibilities include in-depth involvement with the selection, installation, and training on new and existing Clinical applications. In conjunction with the clinical programmers(s) or vendors, this position will assist in problem determination, system design, program testing, and performing Quality Control checks on programs and applications. This individual must be able and willing to communicate and provide assistance to all hospital associates as it relates to the clinical applications. |

| Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Information Systems, Business Management, Health Care Administration or health care related field required or an equivalent amount of related experience and education obtained that demonstrated the necessary skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. RN preferred but not required. Two to five years experience in the installation of advanced clinical health care systems. Demonstrated written and oral communications and educational skills. Ability to present design concepts and system functions in an understandable, logical and concise manner. Demonstated project managment skills to participate in multiple complex projects simultaneously and manage tasks. Interpersonal skills necessary to conduct training classes and participate in meetings with departments supported. Experience with report writing tools (Meditech NPR) preferred. Interface design and application integration experience, data mapping, testing and implementation. A background in one or more of the following areas: Nursing, Clinical, Ancillary Departments, and/or Hospital Management, to provide for a successful link between Information Systems and the Patient Care providers. Project managment skills necessary to coordinate multi-phase, multi-disciplined projects working with all level of Hospital staff. Training and Education skills necessary to teach Information Systems basis concepts and related courses in IS Clinical application usage. Familiar with the JCAHO survey process and the components within the regulations associated with Information Managment. |
